My Thoughts
This project took approximately a month to complete and involved over a hundred photographs from my extensive collection of New York City images, captured over the years. The book presented a unique challenge, as some of the photographs featured intricate details that were particularly difficult to transform.
To develop each page, I utilized Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Affinity Publisher, carefully crafting the layout to ensure the best visual experience. Each image is designed to be rotated and viewed in landscape mode. The formatting process introduced several obstacles, including considerations for book size, bleed, and margin alignment.
Initially, I envisioned full-page images, but after encountering numerous technical difficulties, I opted to use the boxed image format seen in my previous books, ultimately ensuring a more cohesive and polished final product.
